The Hindsight Project is a collaborative work with Dubai artist and curator: Hind Bin Demaithan. According to the curator note, this project "sheds the lights on my struggle being a bilingual individual" - English and Arabic. The collaborative process starts from a deep dialogue with Hind about her experince of lost for words, while photographing her, sharing workspace, to open studio: engaging public conversation. The Hindsight Project looks into the crisis of cross-cultural identity under the impact of globalization through bilingualers's eye. We explore the idea of visual translation. Repurposing both english and arabic dictionaries as a medium and metaphor, we hope to find the new voice beyond language and word.
